- You send crypto to your own deposit address, we convert it at the live rate when it is confirmed and pay the proceeds to your bank account.
- Our fee is included in the rate. The network fee for moving your crypto is taken from the deposit and shown in the app before you send.
- Send only the coin and network shown for your address. Deposits below the minimum, or on the wrong network, are not converted.
- Keep your password, 2FA codes and app passcode to yourself. We will never ask for them.
This summary is to help you. The full terms below are what apply.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Bella Trade ("Bella Trade", "we", "us"). They apply whenever you use our website, the Bella Trade mobile app or any related service (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Bella Trade
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You must live in a country where we offer the Service and sign up from that country. Some features, such as referrals, only work between people in the same country.
- You must use the Service for yourself, not on behalf of anyone else, and only sell crypto that you own and are entitled to sell.
- Payouts must go to a bank account held in your own name.
- You must not be the subject of sanctions or be using the Service from a place where it, or selling crypto, is prohibited.
3. Your account and security
You may only have one account. The information you give us must be true, complete and kept up to date.
Every account is protected by two-factor authentication (2FA) using an authenticator app, and the mobile app is protected by a passcode, which you can unlock with Face ID or a fingerprint. You are responsible for:
- keeping your password, 2FA device and codes, and app passcode secret and secure;
- everything done through your account, unless it happened after you told us it was compromised; and
- telling us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to your account, and signing out any device you do not recognise from your signed in devices list.
We will never ask for your password, 2FA codes, app passcode or private keys, by phone, email, chat or otherwise.
4. How selling works
- You choose the coin and network you want to sell and add the bank account you want to be paid into. We give you a deposit address that is linked to that account. You can reuse it.
- You send crypto to that address from a wallet or exchange you control.
- Once the deposit is confirmed on the blockchain, we convert it at the rate that applies at that moment (see section 5) and pay the proceeds to the linked bank account (see section 7).
Each confirmed deposit to your address is treated as an instruction to sell it on these terms. Once a deposit has been converted, the sale is final and cannot be reversed or cancelled.
We do not hold crypto for you, offer a wallet for storing crypto, or provide investment, tax or legal advice. Information on the Service, including rates and the calculator, is for information only.
5. Rates and fees
- Live rates. Rates change throughout the day. The rate shown in the app or on our website is an indication. The rate applied to your sale is our rate for that coin at the time your deposit is confirmed, which may be higher or lower than the rate you saw earlier.
- Our fee. Our fee is included in the rate we show, so there is no separate service charge on a sale.
- Network fee. A network fee is deducted from each deposit before conversion. It covers the cost of moving your crypto on the blockchain and through our wallets, and it varies with network conditions. The app shows the current network fee before you send.
- Bank charges. We do not charge you to receive a payout. Your own bank may apply its charges.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your sales and for reporting them.
If we make an obvious error in a rate (for example, a rate that is clearly far from the market), we may correct the transaction to the right rate or, where that is not possible, return the crypto to you less network fees.
6. Deposits, networks and minimums
- Only send the coin, on the network, shown for your deposit address. Crypto sent on a different network, or a different coin, may be permanently lost. We will try to help if this happens, but we cannot guarantee recovery and any recovery may carry a cost.
- Each coin has a minimum deposit, shown in the app. A deposit below the minimum, or one too small to cover the network fee, is recorded but not converted. Contact us if this happens; where it is practical we will help you return it, less network fees, but we are not obliged to.
- Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Check the address and amount before you send. Deposits only count once they have the number of confirmations we require for that network.
7. Payouts
We pay the proceeds of each sale to the bank account linked to the deposit address. Payouts may be sent by our liquidity partners on our behalf. We tell you by notification and email when a payout has been sent, and your receipt shows the bank reference.
Most payouts arrive within minutes, but we do not guarantee a time. Delays can be caused by your bank, the banking network, network congestion or the checks described in section 10. If a payout has not arrived within 24 hours, contact us with the transaction reference.
You are responsible for giving us correct bank details. If you change the bank account on a deposit address, the change applies to deposits confirmed after it. If a payout fails because the details were wrong, we will work with you to send it to the correct account, but we are not responsible for money paid out on details you gave us.
8. Referral programme
- You can invite people with your referral link. When someone who signed up with your link sells on Bella Trade, you earn a share of our fee on that trade, credited to your Refer & earn balance.
- Referrals only work for people in the same country as you. You cannot refer yourself, a second account of your own, or use spam, misleading claims or paid advertising on our brand name to get referrals.
- You can withdraw your referral earnings to a bank account in your name once they reach the minimum shown in the app. Withdrawals are reviewed before they are paid.
- We may change the referral share or end the programme with notice. We may cancel earnings that came from fraud, abuse or a breach of these terms.
9. What you must not do
You must not use the Service:
- to sell crypto that is stolen, comes from fraud, scams or any other crime, or that you do not have the right to sell;
- for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or to hide the source of funds;
- on behalf of another person, or to receive payouts into someone else's bank account;
- with false information, a fake identity or more than one account;
- to interfere with, overload, reverse engineer or get unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts; or
- in any way that breaks the law or these terms.
10. Compliance checks and restrictions
We have legal duties to prevent financial crime. We may ask you for information or documents to confirm who you are, where your crypto came from or the purpose of a transaction, and you agree to provide it promptly.
We may delay, hold or refuse a conversion or payout, limit your account or report activity to the relevant authorities where we reasonably believe it is needed to comply with the law, to protect you or others, or because of a breach of these terms. Where the law allows, we will tell you why. We are not responsible for losses caused by changes in rates while a transaction is held for these reasons.
11. Closing or suspending accounts
You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us. Before we close it, any balance you are owed will be paid out to a bank account in your name, subject to section 10.
We may suspend or close your account, with notice where possible, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your account shows signs of fraud or compromise. When an account is closed, we keep the records the law requires us to keep, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Crypto risks
Crypto prices are volatile and can fall or rise quickly, including between the time you send and the time your deposit is confirmed. Blockchain transactions are irreversible and networks can be congested or disrupted. Laws on crypto may change. You use the Service at your own risk and should only sell what you can afford to.
13. Our responsibility to you
We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- losses caused by your breach of these terms, incorrect bank details or addresses you gave us, or someone using your account because you did not keep your details secure;
- crypto sent on the wrong network, to the wrong address or below the minimum;
- delays or failures caused by banks, blockchain networks or events outside our reasonable control;
- changes in crypto prices, or loss of profit, business or opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim about a transaction is limited to the amount of that transaction. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the Service and these terms, for example to add features, reflect changes in the law or improve security. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. You can close your account if you do not agree.
15. Disputes and governing law
If you have a complaint, contact us first at [email protected] with your transaction reference. We will acknowledge it promptly and aim to resolve it within 15 business days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute that we cannot resolve together will be dealt with by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, without affecting any right you have to use another forum under the law that protects you as a consumer.
